I’ve been cooking since I was a kid and enjoy how the taste of food can transport you in time and evoke memories, just as a good meal can make a lasting impression.

My first official job was at the age of 15. I worked at a summer camp where I went from dishwasher to cook in the first week. This was only because the cook broke her wrist. That happened to be on a day when we had a big feast to prepare for. (pit roasted turkey) I called in the other dishwasher and we pulled it off. I got hooked on accomplishing the challenge set before me….and the adrenaline rush that proceeded.

There is more about me on but I like the idea of being informal.
